Artist Statement
My recent work deals with temporal, everyday, and organic objects. I often transform them into durable materials – stacking and assembling them in repetitive combinations. By selecting and isolating or repeating an object, I begin to see a new language of expression. I am attracted to common and familiar things and the possibility of the objects themselves or their uses disappearing and morphing into something new.
